Many people have no reliable access to clean water despite 71% of Earth’s surface being covered in water. Climate change threatens to greatly magnify this problem and current seawater desalination is still too energy-intensive for large-scale implementation.
AVS offers an economic and large scale solution with it’s near-ideal process efficiency vacuum distillation of seawater. This method subjects seawater to partial vacuum causing it to boil; the resulting steam is re-condensed to yield potable water. AVS machines and heat exchangers will perform this distillation cycle with minimal total energy consumption and with a process minimizes impact on sea life.
